WAV, FLAC, OGG and AAC open in the universal viewer with a hex view and, where possible, metadata and batch tag-cleaning. Format is detected from the content, not the extension.
For MP3, yes: edit the ID3 tags and cover art and download a re-tagged copy with the audio never re-encoded, or convert to WAV, FLAC or Opus with ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly — all locally.
